﴿يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ كُلُواْ مِمَّا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ حَلَٰلٗا طَيِّبٗا وَلَا تَتَّبِعُواْ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنِۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٌ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 168]
﴿ياأيها الناس كلوا مما في الأرض حلالا طيبا ولا تتبعوا خطوات الشيطان﴾ [البَقَرَة: 168]
| Dr Kamal Omar O you mankind! Eat of what is lawful and palatable in the earth, and follow not the footsteps of Satan. Certainly he is to you an evident enemy |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar O humanity! Eat of what is in and on the earth—lawful, wholesome—and follow not the steps of the Satan. Truly, he is a clear enemy to you |
| Dr Munir Munshey Oh mankind! Eat the lawful and wholesome (food) that exists on the earth. Do not follow in the footsteps of Shaitan. Indeed, he is the professed enemy of yours |
| Edward Henry Palmer O ye folk! eat of what is in the earth, things lawful and things good, and follow not the footsteps of Satan, verily, to you he is an open foe |
