﴿مَثَلُهُمۡ كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِي ٱسۡتَوۡقَدَ نَارٗا فَلَمَّآ أَضَآءَتۡ مَا حَوۡلَهُۥ ذَهَبَ ٱللَّهُ بِنُورِهِمۡ وَتَرَكَهُمۡ فِي ظُلُمَٰتٖ لَّا يُبۡصِرُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 17]
﴿مثلهم كمثل الذي استوقد نارا فلما أضاءت ما حوله ذهب الله بنورهم﴾ [البَقَرَة: 17]
Dr Kamal Omar Their case is like the case of that who kindled a fire, and when it lighted up all around him, Allah took away their sight and left them in thick darkness, they see not |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Their parable is like a parable of those who started a fire. Then, when it illuminated what was around it, God took away their light and left them in shadows where they perceive not |
