﴿لِّلَّذِينَ يُؤۡلُونَ مِن نِّسَآئِهِمۡ تَرَبُّصُ أَرۡبَعَةِ أَشۡهُرٖۖ فَإِن فَآءُو فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٞ رَّحِيمٞ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 226]
﴿للذين يؤلون من نسائهم تربص أربعة أشهر فإن فاءوا فإن الله غفور﴾ [البَقَرَة: 226]
| Dr Kamal Omar For those who take an oath not to have sexual relations with their wives is a waiting period extending to four months. Then if they made amends (within this period), verily, Allah is Oft-Forgiving, continuously Merciful |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar For those who vow abstinence from their wives, await four months. Then, if they changed their minds, then, truly, God is Forgiving, Compassionate |
