﴿ٱلَّذِينَ يَنقُضُونَ عَهۡدَ ٱللَّهِ مِنۢ بَعۡدِ مِيثَٰقِهِۦ وَيَقۡطَعُونَ مَآ أَمَرَ ٱللَّهُ بِهِۦٓ أَن يُوصَلَ وَيُفۡسِدُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلۡخَٰسِرُونَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 27]
﴿الذين ينقضون عهد الله من بعد ميثاقه ويقطعون ما أمر الله به﴾ [البَقَرَة: 27]
| Dr Kamal Omar those who break Allah’s Covenant after ratifying it, and disconnect what Allah has ordered to be joined, and do mischief on the earth, it is they who are the losers |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar those who break the compact of God after a solemn promise and sever what God commanded that it be joined and make corruption in and on the earth. Those, they are the ones who are losers |
| Dr Munir Munshey Those who, after having affirmed solemnly, break their covenant with Allah; those who (violate and) sever that which Allah has deemed inviolable, and has ordered to be joined. They cause chaos in the world. Such ones are the losers |
