﴿فَجَعَلۡنَٰهَا نَكَٰلٗا لِّمَا بَيۡنَ يَدَيۡهَا وَمَا خَلۡفَهَا وَمَوۡعِظَةٗ لِّلۡمُتَّقِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 66]
﴿فجعلناها نكالا لما بين يديها وما خلفها وموعظة للمتقين﴾ [البَقَرَة: 66]
| Dr Kamal Omar So We made this a warning sign for what was in between its two hands (contemporary era) and that which came after it, and a reminder to those who are Al-Muttaqun |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Then, We made this an exemplary punishment for the former of them, and of succeeding generations, and an admonishment for the ones who are Godfearing |
| Dr Munir Munshey We turned them into an (eye opening) example for their generation, and for others to follow. (We turned them into) an admonition for the pious |
