﴿وَإِذۡ قَالَ مُوسَىٰ لِقَوۡمِهِۦٓ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَأۡمُرُكُمۡ أَن تَذۡبَحُواْ بَقَرَةٗۖ قَالُوٓاْ أَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُوٗاۖ قَالَ أَعُوذُ بِٱللَّهِ أَنۡ أَكُونَ مِنَ ٱلۡجَٰهِلِينَ ﴾
[البَقَرَة: 67]
﴿وإذ قال موسى لقومه إن الله يأمركم أن تذبحوا بقرة قالوا أتتخذنا﴾ [البَقَرَة: 67]
| Dr Kamal Omar And when Musa said to his nation: “Without doubt, Allah commands you that you should sacrifice the cow.” They said: "Do you make fun of us?” (Musa) said: “I seek protection in Allah from being an ignorant |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And mention when Moses said to his folk: Truly, God commands that you sacrifice a cow. They said: Hast thou taken us to thyself in mockery? He said: I take refuge with God that I be among the ones who are ignorant |
