﴿كُلُواْ مِن طَيِّبَٰتِ مَا رَزَقۡنَٰكُمۡ وَلَا تَطۡغَوۡاْ فِيهِ فَيَحِلَّ عَلَيۡكُمۡ غَضَبِيۖ وَمَن يَحۡلِلۡ عَلَيۡهِ غَضَبِي فَقَدۡ هَوَىٰ ﴾
[طه: 81]
﴿كلوا من طيبات ما رزقناكم ولا تطغوا فيه فيحل عليكم غضبي ومن﴾ [طه: 81]
Dr Kamal Omar Eat of the Tayyibat wherewith We have given you provisions and commit no transgression therein, lest My Punishment becomes due on you; and that one whom My Punishment becomes justly due, then indeed, he perished |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Eat from what is good that We provided you, and be not defiant in it so that My anger not alight on you. And he on whom My anger alights surely, will be hurled to ruin |
Dr Munir Munshey Eat the wholesome food We have provided, but do not be overly excessive. Else, My wrath will come down upon you. Surely, the one upon whom lands My fury, comes tumbling down |
Edward Henry Palmer Eat of the good things we have provided you with, and do not exceed therein, lest my wrath light upon you; for whomsoever my wrath lights upon he falls |
Farook Malik saying: "Eat of the good things We have provided for your sustenance and do not transgress, lest you should incur My wrath, and whoever incurs My wrath, is surely bound to perish |
George Sale saying, eat of the good things which we have given you for food; and transgress not therein, lest my indignation fall on you: And on whomsoever my indignation shall fall, he shall go down headlong into perdition |
Maududi saying: "Partake of the good things that We have provided for you, but do not transgress lest My wrath fall upon you; for he upon whom My wrath falls is ruined |
