﴿قَالَ بَلۡ فَعَلَهُۥ كَبِيرُهُمۡ هَٰذَا فَسۡـَٔلُوهُمۡ إِن كَانُواْ يَنطِقُونَ ﴾
[الأنبيَاء: 63]
﴿قال بل فعله كبيرهم هذا فاسألوهم إن كانوا ينطقون﴾ [الأنبيَاء: 63]
| Dr Kamal Omar (Ibrahim) said: “Nay, this Most High and Most Great of them has done it. Ask them (who are here with broken hands, broken legs and broken faces) if they used to talk (in the past as you claim) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar He said: Nay! It was accomplished by the greatest of them—this. So ask them if they had been able to speak for themselves |
| Dr Munir Munshey Said, "Rather, this one, their chief did that! Therefore, ask them if they can talk |
| Edward Henry Palmer Said he, 'Nay, it was this largest of them; but ask them, if they can speak |
| Farook Malik He replied, "Surely someone has done it; the chief of them, that is! Ask them, if they can speak |
| George Sale He answered, nay, that biggest of them hath done it: But ask them, if they can speak |
| Maududi He answered: "Rather it was this supreme one who has done it. So ask them, if they can speak |
