﴿۞ هَٰذَانِ خَصۡمَانِ ٱخۡتَصَمُواْ فِي رَبِّهِمۡۖ فَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ قُطِّعَتۡ لَهُمۡ ثِيَابٞ مِّن نَّارٖ يُصَبُّ مِن فَوۡقِ رُءُوسِهِمُ ٱلۡحَمِيمُ ﴾
[الحج: 19]
﴿هذان خصمان اختصموا في ربهم فالذين كفروا قطعت لهم ثياب من نار﴾ [الحج: 19]
| Dr Kamal Omar These two, are two persons who have opposite views. They have disputed with each other regarding their Nourisher-Sustainer. Then those who have disbelieved: garments of fire will be cut out for them, boiling water will be poured down over their heads |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar These two disputants strove against one another about their Lord. Then, for those who were ungrateful garments of fire will be cut out for them. Over their heads, scalding water will be unloosed |
