﴿أُذِنَ لِلَّذِينَ يُقَٰتَلُونَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ ظُلِمُواْۚ وَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ نَصۡرِهِمۡ لَقَدِيرٌ ﴾
[الحج: 39]
﴿أذن للذين يقاتلون بأنهم ظلموا وإن الله على نصرهم لقدير﴾ [الحج: 39]
| Dr Kamal Omar Permission is given against those who are mahead of state Qital because those (Believers) have been subjected to injustice. And surely, Allah is indeed All-Capable over the assistance of these (Believers) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Permission was given to those who are fought against because they, they were wronged. And, truly, Powerful is God to help them |
| Dr Munir Munshey Permission to fight back is granted to those being attacked. For they have been wronged! Allah is quite capable of helping them |
| Edward Henry Palmer Permission is given to those who fight because they have been wronged, - and, verily, God to help them has the might |
| Farook Malik Permission to fight back is hereby granted to the believers against whom war is waged and because they are oppressed; certainly Allah has power to grant them victory |
| George Sale Permission is granted unto those who take arms against the unbelievers, for that they have been unjustly persecuted by them: -- (and God is certainly able to assist them) |
| Maududi Permission (to fight) has been granted to those for they have been wronged. Verily Allah has the power to help them |
