﴿وَأَنزَلۡنَا مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَآءَۢ بِقَدَرٖ فَأَسۡكَنَّٰهُ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۖ وَإِنَّا عَلَىٰ ذَهَابِۭ بِهِۦ لَقَٰدِرُونَ ﴾
[المؤمنُون: 18]
﴿وأنـزلنا من السماء ماء بقدر فأسكناه في الأرض وإنا على ذهاب به﴾ [المؤمنُون: 18]
| Dr Kamal Omar And We sent down from towards the sky (rain-) water according to assessment, then We caused it to stay inside the earth. And surely, We are indeed Capable Ones on its disappearance |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar We caused water to descend from heaven in measure and We ceased it to dwell in the earth. And We certainly are ones who have power to take away |
| Dr Munir Munshey We sent down water from the sky in measured amounts, and stored it in the land. We certainly have the ability to make it run dry |
| Edward Henry Palmer And we send down from the heaven water by measure, and we make it rest in the earth; but, verily, we are able to take it away |
| Farook Malik We send down water from the sky according to a due measure, then We cause it to settle in the soil - you should know that if We please, We can certainly take it away |
