﴿إِن نَّشَأۡ نُنَزِّلۡ عَلَيۡهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ ءَايَةٗ فَظَلَّتۡ أَعۡنَٰقُهُمۡ لَهَا خَٰضِعِينَ ﴾
[الشعراء: 4]
﴿إن نشأ ننـزل عليهم من السماء آية فظلت أعناقهم لها خاضعين﴾ [الشعراء: 4]
| Dr Kamal Omar If We thought proper We could send unto them from the heaven a Sign so their necks instantly bent under its effect as (of) those who are in humility and submission |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar If We will, We send down to them from heaven a sign so that perhaps their necks would stay to it, ones that are bent in humility |
| Dr Munir Munshey We can, if We want, reveal to them a sign from the heavens, which would cause their heads to bow down (in submission) |
| Edward Henry Palmer If we please we will send down upon them from the heaven a sign, and their necks shall be humbled thereto |
| Farook Malik If We wanted, We could send down upon them a sign from the heaven before which they would bend their necks in submission, but that is not what We want |
| George Sale If We pleased, We could send down unto them a convincing sign from heaven, unto which their necks would humbly submit |
| Maududi If We will, We can send down a Sign to them from heaven, so their necks will be humbled to it |
