﴿وَمَا يَأۡتِيهِم مِّن ذِكۡرٖ مِّنَ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ مُحۡدَثٍ إِلَّا كَانُواْ عَنۡهُ مُعۡرِضِينَ ﴾
[الشعراء: 5]
﴿وما يأتيهم من ذكر من الرحمن محدث إلا كانوا عنه معرضين﴾ [الشعراء: 5]
| Dr Kamal Omar And there comes not to them Zikr (Message) from Ar-Rahman anew but they became unto it (as) those who keep themselves at a distance and do not attempt to listen, understand and adopt (Al-Kitab) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And there approaches them not any renewed Remembrance from The Merciful but that they had been ones who turn aside from it |
| Dr Munir Munshey They turn their backs on every fresh reminder that ever comes to them from Rehman |
| Edward Henry Palmer But there comes not to them any recent Reminder from the Merciful One that they do not turn away from |
| Farook Malik They have been turning their backs on each fresh warning that comes to them from the Compassionate (Allah) |
| George Sale But where cometh unto them no admonition from the Merciful, being newly revealed as occasions require, but they turn aside from the same |
| Maududi Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it |
