﴿وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَٰدِي ٱلۡعُمۡيِ عَن ضَلَٰلَتِهِمۡۖ إِن تُسۡمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤۡمِنُ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسۡلِمُونَ ﴾
[النَّمل: 81]
﴿وما أنت بهادي العمي عن ضلالتهم إن تسمع إلا من يؤمن بآياتنا﴾ [النَّمل: 81]
| Dr Kamal Omar And you (are) not (that) who guides the blind inspite of their persistence in ignorance and error. You do not make one hear (the Message) except that who Believes in Our Ayaat, so they are Muslims |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Nor wilt thou be one who guides the unwilling to see out of their fallacy. Thou wilt not cause to hear, but whoever believes in Our signs and so they are ones who submit to God |
| Dr Munir Munshey You cannot give directions to a blind man who has lost his way. You would only be able to tell those who believe and are ready to submit |
| Edward Henry Palmer nor art thou a guide to the blind, out of their error: thou canst only make to hear such as believe in our signs, and such as are resigned |

| Maududi nor can you direct the blind to the Right Way, preventing them from falling into error. You can make only those who believe in Our verses to hear the call and then submit |
