﴿حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءُو قَالَ أَكَذَّبۡتُم بِـَٔايَٰتِي وَلَمۡ تُحِيطُواْ بِهَا عِلۡمًا أَمَّاذَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ ﴾
[النَّمل: 84]
﴿حتى إذا جاءوا قال أكذبتم بآياتي ولم تحيطوا بها علما أماذا كنتم﴾ [النَّمل: 84]
| Dr Kamal Omar till when they reached (the place of reckoning before their Nourisher-Sustainer), He said: “Did you deny My Ayaat while you comprehended them not in knowledge — or what else was it that you used to do?” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Until when they drew near, He will say: Denied you My signs without comprehending them in knowledge, or what is it that you had been doing |
| Dr Munir Munshey When all have arrived, Allah will say, "You rejected My signs even though your knowledge consisted of nothing to the contrary? (If not) what else did you do |
| Edward Henry Palmer until they come, and He will say, 'Did ye say my signs were lies, when ye had compassed no knowledge thereof? or what is it that ye were doing |
| Farook Malik until when they have all arrived, their Lord will ask: "Did you deny My revelations without gaining their comprehensive knowledge? If not this, what else were you doing |
| George Sale until they shall arrive at the place of judgment. And God shall say unto them, have ye charged my signs with falsehood, although ye comprehended them not with your knowledge? Or what is it that ye were doing |
| Maududi until, when all of them have arrived, Allah will say: "Did you give the lie to My Signs even without encompassing them with your knowledge? If that is not so, what did you do |
