﴿إِنَّا مُنزِلُونَ عَلَىٰٓ أَهۡلِ هَٰذِهِ ٱلۡقَرۡيَةِ رِجۡزٗا مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَا كَانُواْ يَفۡسُقُونَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 34]
﴿إنا منـزلون على أهل هذه القرية رجزا من السماء بما كانوا يفسقون﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 34]
| Dr Kamal Omar Surely, we are those who will bring over the residents of this town an abominable punishment from towards the sky because they have been committing Fisq (rebellion and defiance) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Truly, we are ones who will cause to descend on the people of this town wrath from heaven because they had been disobeying |
| Dr Munir Munshey We are going to rain down upon the residents of this town a punishment from the sky. This is because they lead a depraved and decadent life |
| Edward Henry Palmer Verily, we are about to send down upon the people of this city a horror from heaven, for that they have sinned |
| Farook Malik We are going to bring down a scourge from heaven upon the people of this town on account of their transgression |
| George Sale We will surely bring down upon the inhabitants of this city vengeance from heaven, for that they have been wicked doers |
| Maududi We shall bring down upon the people of this city a scourge from the heaven because of their evildoing |
