﴿فَكَذَّبُوهُ فَأَخَذَتۡهُمُ ٱلرَّجۡفَةُ فَأَصۡبَحُواْ فِي دَارِهِمۡ جَٰثِمِينَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 37]
﴿فكذبوه فأخذتهم الرجفة فأصبحوا في دارهم جاثمين﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 37]
| Dr Kamal Omar But they belied him, so the earthquake seized them, and they faced the morning in their residence as lying dead and motionless |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And they denied him. So the quaking of the earth took them and it came to be in the morning in their abodes, ones who are fallen prostrate |
| Dr Munir Munshey But they rejected him! So an earthquake shook them up, leaving them (dead) _ prone and prostrate in their houses |
| Edward Henry Palmer But they called him liar; and the convulsion seized them, and on the morrow they lay in their dwellings prone |
| Farook Malik But they denied him, so a severe earthquake seized them and by the morning they were lifeless bodies in their own homes |
| George Sale But they accused him of imposture; wherefore a storm from heaven assailed them, and in the morning they were found in their dwellings dead and prostrate |
| Maududi But they denounced him as a liar. So a mighty earthquake overtook them, and by the morning they lay overturned in their houses |
