﴿وَقَٰرُونَ وَفِرۡعَوۡنَ وَهَٰمَٰنَۖ وَلَقَدۡ جَآءَهُم مُّوسَىٰ بِٱلۡبَيِّنَٰتِ فَٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَمَا كَانُواْ سَٰبِقِينَ ﴾
[العَنكبُوت: 39]
﴿وقارون وفرعون وهامان ولقد جاءهم موسى بالبينات فاستكبروا في الأرض وما كانوا﴾ [العَنكبُوت: 39]
| Dr Kamal Omar And (We also destroyed) Qarun, and Firaun, and Haman. And surely, indeed came to them Musa with Al-Bayyinat but they showed arrogance in the land, yet they did not become those who could outstrip (Us) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And Korah and Pharaoh and Haman and, certainly, Moses drew near to them with the clear portents, but they grew arrogant on the earth and they had not been ones who take the lead from Us |
| Dr Munir Munshey (And We destroyed) Qaroon, the pharaoh and Haaman. Indeed, Musa had presented them the plain proofs. But they proclaimed themselves great in the land. They could not outrun (Our punishment) |
| Edward Henry Palmer And Korah and Pharaoh and Haman - Moses did come to them with manifest signs, but they were too big with pride in the earth, although they could not outstrip us |
| Farook Malik Moses came to Qarun (Korah), Pharoah (Pharaoh) and Haman with clear signs but they remained arrogant in the land; yet they could not go ahead of Us |
| George Sale And We likewise destroyed Karun, and Pharaoh, and Haman. Moses came unto them with evident miracles; and they behaved themselves insolently in the earth: But they could not escape our vengeance |
| Maududi And We destroyed Qarun (Korah) and Pharaoh and Haman. Moses came to them with Clear Signs but they waxed arrogant in the land although they could not have outstripped (Us) |
