﴿إِن تَمۡسَسۡكُمۡ حَسَنَةٞ تَسُؤۡهُمۡ وَإِن تُصِبۡكُمۡ سَيِّئَةٞ يَفۡرَحُواْ بِهَاۖ وَإِن تَصۡبِرُواْ وَتَتَّقُواْ لَا يَضُرُّكُمۡ كَيۡدُهُمۡ شَيۡـًٔاۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِمَا يَعۡمَلُونَ مُحِيطٞ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 120]
﴿إن تمسسكم حسنة تسؤهم وإن تصبكم سيئة يفرحوا بها وإن تصبروا وتتقوا﴾ [آل عِمران: 120]
| Dr Kamal Omar If a good befalls you, it grieves them; and if an evil overtakes you, they rejoice over it. And if you remain patient and remain in obedience, their planning shall not do you any harm. Surely, Allah is All-Vigilant and Watchful on what they do |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar If benevolence touches you, it raises anger in them, but if an evil deed lights on you, they are glad about it. But if you endure patiently and are Godfearing, their cunning will not injure you at all. Truly, God is One Who Encloses what they do |

| Maududi If anything good happens to you they are grieved; if any misfortune befalls you they rejoice at it. But if you remain steadfast and mindful of Allah their designs will not cause you harm. Allah surely encompasses all that they do |
