﴿قُلِ ٱللَّهُمَّ مَٰلِكَ ٱلۡمُلۡكِ تُؤۡتِي ٱلۡمُلۡكَ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتَنزِعُ ٱلۡمُلۡكَ مِمَّن تَشَآءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشَآءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشَآءُۖ بِيَدِكَ ٱلۡخَيۡرُۖ إِنَّكَ عَلَىٰ كُلِّ شَيۡءٖ قَدِيرٞ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 26]
﴿قل اللهم مالك الملك تؤتي الملك من تشاء وتنـزع الملك ممن تشاء﴾ [آل عِمران: 26]
Dr Kamal Omar Say: “Beloved Allah, Sovereign of the state, You hand over the state whom You think proper and you snatch away the state from whom you think proper. And You bestow honour whomever You think proper and You dishonour whomever You think proper. In Your Hand (lies the control of) the good. Certainly You are All-Capable over every thing |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: O God! The One Who is Sovereign of Dominion, Thou hast given dominion to whom Thou hast willed, and Thou hast torn away dominion from whom Thou hast willed. Thou hast rendered powerful whom Thou hast willed, and Thou hast abased whom Thou hast willed. In Thy hand is the good. Truly, Thou art Powerful over everything |

You grant the kingdom _ (influence and authority) _ to whomever You wish, and You take away the kingdom from whomever You want. You confer honor upon whom You wish, and You bring dishonor upon whomever You wish. (Nothing but) good occurs by Your hand. Indeed, You have power over all things |

George Sale Say, O God, who possessest the kingdom; thou givest the kingdom unto whom thou wilt, and thou takest away the kingdom from whom thou wilt: Thou exaltest whom thou wilt, and thou humblest whom thou wilt: In thy had is good, for thou art almighty |
Maududi Say: ´O Allah, Lord of all dominion! You give dominion to whom You will, and take away dominion from whom You will, and You exalt whom You will, and abase whom You will. In Your Hand is all good. Surely You are All-Power-ful |
