﴿فِيهِ ءَايَٰتُۢ بَيِّنَٰتٞ مَّقَامُ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَۖ وَمَن دَخَلَهُۥ كَانَ ءَامِنٗاۗ وَلِلَّهِ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ حِجُّ ٱلۡبَيۡتِ مَنِ ٱسۡتَطَاعَ إِلَيۡهِ سَبِيلٗاۚ وَمَن كَفَرَ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَنِيٌّ عَنِ ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ ﴾
[آل عِمران: 97]
﴿فيه آيات بينات مقام إبراهيم ومن دخله كان آمنا ولله على الناس﴾ [آل عِمران: 97]
| Dr Kamal Omar In it are manifest signs (for example) the Maqam-o-Ibrahim. Whoever entered it became one who is in peace. And dedicated to Allah, incumbent upon mankind, is a journey or travel towards the House, for one who could afford a passage towards it; and who denied (this ordainment in his actions or Belief) then certainly Allah is One Who stands not in need of (whatever exists in) the worlds |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar In it are clear portents, signs, the Station of Abraham. And whoever entered it had been one who is safe. And to God is a duty on humanity of pilgrimage to the House in Makkah for whoever was able to travel the way to it. And whoever was ungrateful, then truly God is Independent of the worlds |
| Dr Munir Munshey In that (House) are many clear signs _ (for example) the place where Ibraheem stood (and prayed). Whoever enters it obtains (inner) peace (and security). Mankind owes it to Allah to perform the pilgrimage of the House __ anyone who can (afford and) find the means to do so. But if anyone refuses (to perform the pilgrimage), then of course, Allah (is Self-sufficient and) stands in no need of (anyone in) the universe |

| Maududi In it there are clear signs and the station of Abraham; whoever enters it becomes secure. Pilgrimage to the House is a duty owed to Allah by all who can make their way to it. As for those who refuse to follow His command, surely Allah does not stand in need of anything |
