﴿وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشۡتَرِي لَهۡوَ ٱلۡحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ ﴾
[لُقمَان: 6]
﴿ومن الناس من يشتري لهو الحديث ليضل عن سبيل الله بغير علم﴾ [لُقمَان: 6]
| Dr Kamal Omar And of mankind is that who purchases Lahw-alhadees (absurd and senseless hadees) in order that he may mislead (people) against the Way of Allah without knowledge, and regards this (Prescribed Path of Allah) as a mockery. Those people: for them awaits a humiliating punishment |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And of humanity is he who exchanges diversionary conversation to cause others to go astray from the way of God without any knowledge. And he takes it to himself in mockery. Those, for them will be a despised punishment |
