Quran with English translation - Surah Luqman ayat 6 - لُقمَان - Page - Juz 21
﴿وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَشۡتَرِي لَهۡوَ ٱلۡحَدِيثِ لِيُضِلَّ عَن سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ بِغَيۡرِ عِلۡمٖ وَيَتَّخِذَهَا هُزُوًاۚ أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ لَهُمۡ عَذَابٞ مُّهِينٞ ﴾
[لُقمَان: 6]
﴿ومن الناس من يشتري لهو الحديث ليضل عن سبيل الله بغير علم﴾ [لُقمَان: 6]
Al Bilal Muhammad Et Al But there are among the people, those who purchase idle tales without knowledge or meaning, to mislead people from the path of God, and to throw ridicule on that path, for these there will be a crushing penalty |
Ali Bakhtiari Nejad And some of the people buy (and accept) the amusing (and baseless) saying in order to misguide (people) from God's way without knowledge, and they take it as a joke. They have a humiliating punishment |
Ali Quli Qarai Among the people is he who buys diversionary talk that he may lead [people] astray from Allah’s way without any knowledge, and he takes it in derision. For such there is a humiliating punishment |
Ali Unal Among the people is one who pays for idle tales and diverting talk to lead people astray from (the Qur’an, which is) God’s way, without knowledge, and makes a mockery of it (the Qur’an). For such (a man) there is a shameful, humiliating punishment |
Hamid S Aziz But amongst men are those who purchase (pay for) idle tales without knowledge (or meaning), to lead astray men from the path of Allah, and to make a jest of it; for them is shameful woe |

Literal And from the people who buys the information`s/speeches` amusement/fun to misguide from God`s way/path without knowledge, and He takes it mockingly/making fun, those, for them (is) a humiliating/degrading torture |
Mir Anees Original And among mankind is he who purchases (as his) pastime issue, misleading of (people) from the way of Allah, without having (any) knowledge, and takes it as a mockery. Those are the persons for whom there is a disgraceful punishment |
