﴿قُلۡ مَن ذَا ٱلَّذِي يَعۡصِمُكُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ إِنۡ أَرَادَ بِكُمۡ سُوٓءًا أَوۡ أَرَادَ بِكُمۡ رَحۡمَةٗۚ وَلَا يَجِدُونَ لَهُم مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلِيّٗا وَلَا نَصِيرٗا ﴾
[الأحزَاب: 17]
﴿قل من ذا الذي يعصمكم من الله إن أراد بكم سوءا أو﴾ [الأحزَاب: 17]
| Dr Kamal Omar Say: “Who is that one who will protect you against Allah if He intended for you (some) harm, or He intended for you mercy?" And they will not find for themselves, besides Allah any wali, and nor a helper |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: Who will save you from harm from God if He wanted evil for you or wanted mercy for you? And they will not find for themselves other than God a protector or a helper |
| Dr Munir Munshey Say, "Can anyone save you from Allah, if He wants to hurt you? Or (can anyone) prevent Him if He wants to grant you mercy?" Other than Allah, they will not find for themselves a friend or a helper |
| Edward Henry Palmer Say, 'Who is it that can save you from God, if He wish you evil, or wish you mercy?' but they will not find beside God a patron or a helper |
| Farook Malik Ask them: "Who can protect you from Allah if He intends to harm you or who can prevent Him if He intends to show you mercy?" They will find none besides Allah to protect or help them |
| George Sale Say, who is he who shall defend you against God, if He is pleased to bring evil on you, or is pleased to shew mercy towards you? They shall find none to patronize or protect them, besides God |
| Maududi Say (to them): "Who can protect you from Allah if He desires an evil for you? And who can prevent Him if He desires to show mercy to you?" They shall find none other than Allah to be their protector or helper |
