﴿قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتَكۡبَرُواْ لِلَّذِينَ ٱسۡتُضۡعِفُوٓاْ أَنَحۡنُ صَدَدۡنَٰكُمۡ عَنِ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ بَعۡدَ إِذۡ جَآءَكُمۖ بَلۡ كُنتُم مُّجۡرِمِينَ ﴾
[سَبإ: 32]
﴿قال الذين استكبروا للذين استضعفوا أنحن صددناكم عن الهدى بعد إذ جاءكم﴾ [سَبإ: 32]
| Dr Kamal Omar And those who behaved in arrogance said to those, who were prevailed upon: “Did we obstruct you people from The Guidance after it had come to you? Nay, you (yourselves) were sinful.” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Those who grew arrogant would say to those who were taken advantage due to their weakness: Barred we you from guidance after it drew near you? Nay! You had been ones who sin |

| Maududi The arrogant ones will retort to those who were suppressed: "What! Did we bar you from the guidance after it came to you? Not at all; rather you yourselves were evil-doers |
