Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah FaTir ayat 40 - فَاطِر - Page - Juz 22
﴿قُلۡ أَرَءَيۡتُمۡ شُرَكَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدۡعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَرُونِي مَاذَا خَلَقُواْ مِنَ ٱلۡأَرۡضِ أَمۡ لَهُمۡ شِرۡكٞ فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ أَمۡ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمۡ كِتَٰبٗا فَهُمۡ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَتٖ مِّنۡهُۚ بَلۡ إِن يَعِدُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ بَعۡضُهُم بَعۡضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا ﴾
[فَاطِر: 40]
﴿قل أرأيتم شركاءكم الذين تدعون من دون الله أروني ماذا خلقوا من﴾ [فَاطِر: 40]
| Dr Kamal Omar Say: “Have you (ever) pondered over your (so-called) partner-gods whom you invoke besides Allah? Show me what have they created of the earth, or have they any share in (the dominion of) the heavens." Or have We given them a Book so they are on a clear stand therefrom? Nay, the transgressors do not promise — some of them to some (others) except delusions |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Say: Considered you your ascribed associates to whom you call to other than God? Cause me to see what they created in the earth or have they any association in creation of the heavens? Or gave We them a Book so that they have a clear portent from there? Nay! The ones who are unjust promise nothing—some of them to some others—but delusion |
| Dr Munir Munshey Say, "What do you think about the partners you call upon and pray to other than Allah? Show me what they have created on this earth! Or do you think they have any share in the heaven?" Have We given them a book they can cite in support of their views? Not so at all! In fact what the evildoers assure each other are mere delusions |
| Edward Henry Palmer Say, 'Have ye considered your associates whom ye call on beside God?' show me what they created of the earth ; have they a share in the heavens, or have we given them a book that they rest on a manifest sign? nay the unjust promise each other naught but guile |
| Farook Malik O Prophet, say: "Have you ever considered your associate gods to whom you call upon besides Allah? Show me anything that they have created in the earth! Or what is their share in the creation of the heavens? Or have We given them a Book from which they derive a provision of shirk? Nay, in fact the wrongdoers promise each other nothing but delusions |
| George Sale Say, what think ye of your deities which ye invoke besides God? Shew me what part of the earth they have created. Or had they any share in the creation of the heavens? Have We given unto the idolaters any book of revelations, so that they may rely on any proof therefrom to authorize their practice? Nay: But the ungodly make unto one another only deceitful promises |
| Maududi Say to them (O Prophet): "Have you ever seen those of your associates upon whom you call apart from Allah? Show me what have they created in the earth? Or do they have any partnership (with Allah) in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book so that they have a clear proof (for associating others with Allah in His Divinity)?" Nay, what these wrong-doers promise each other is nothing but delusion |
