﴿۞ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يُمۡسِكُ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ أَن تَزُولَاۚ وَلَئِن زَالَتَآ إِنۡ أَمۡسَكَهُمَا مِنۡ أَحَدٖ مِّنۢ بَعۡدِهِۦٓۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ حَلِيمًا غَفُورٗا ﴾
[فَاطِر: 41]
﴿إن الله يمسك السموات والأرض أن تزولا ولئن زالتا إن أمسكهما من﴾ [فَاطِر: 41]
Dr Kamal Omar Verily, Allah holds the heavens and the earth, otherwise the two go into disbalance. And if indeed the two went into disbalance — did not control these two, any one besides Him. Surely, He is Most Forbearing, Oft-Forgiving |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Truly, God holds back the heavens and the earth so that they are not displaced. And if they were displaced, there is none who held them back after Him. Truly, He had been Forbearing, Forgiving |
Dr Munir Munshey Indeed it is Allah Who holds the heavens and the earth (under control), and keeps them from falling into disarray. There is no one except He, Who can hold them together, should they break loose and deviate. Of course, He is the most Forbearing, the most Forgiving |
