﴿۞ أَلَمۡ أَعۡهَدۡ إِلَيۡكُمۡ يَٰبَنِيٓ ءَادَمَ أَن لَّا تَعۡبُدُواْ ٱلشَّيۡطَٰنَۖ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمۡ عَدُوّٞ مُّبِينٞ ﴾
[يسٓ: 60]
﴿ألم أعهد إليكم يابني آدم أن لا تعبدوا الشيطان إنه لكم عدو﴾ [يسٓ: 60]
| Dr Kamal Omar Don’t I make a covenant with you, O Bani-Adam, that you must not obey Satan. Surely, he is an evident enemy unto you |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Make I not a compact with you, O Children of Adam, that you not worship Satan? Truly, he is a clear enemy |
| Dr Munir Munshey Oh children of Adam! Did I not have a pact with you, that you will not worship Shaitan? He is your professed enemy |
| Edward Henry Palmer Did I not covenant with you, O children of Adam! that ye should not serve Satan? verily, he is to you an open foe |
| Farook Malik Did I not enjoin you, O children of Adam, not to worship Satan, who is your open enemy |
| George Sale Did I not command you, O sons of Adam, that ye should not worship Satan; because he was an open enemy unto you |
| Maududi Children of Adam, did I not command you not to serve Satan ? he is to you an open enemy |
