﴿ذَٰلِكُم بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَفۡرَحُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ بِغَيۡرِ ٱلۡحَقِّ وَبِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَمۡرَحُونَ ﴾
[غَافِر: 75]
﴿ذلكم بما كنتم تفرحون في الأرض بغير الحق وبما كنتم تمرحون﴾ [غَافِر: 75]
| Dr Kamal Omar This is to you because of what you used to enjoy in the earth without right, and because you used to rejoice insolently |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar That was because you had been exultant on the earth without right and that you had been glad |
| Dr Munir Munshey (You suffer this plight) because you used to rejoice in the (affairs of the) world without any right (or reason), and because you used to gloat and exult (about falsehood) |
| Edward Henry Palmer There! for 'that ye did rejoice in the land without right; and for that ye did exult |
| Farook Malik It will be said: "You have met this fate because during your life on earth, you took delight in things other than the truth and you led a wanton life |
