And We made of them, with this vindictive punishment and fateful event, - Surah Az-Zukhruf ayat 56 in Tafsir

﴿فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُمۡ سَلَفٗا وَمَثَلٗا لِّلۡأٓخِرِينَ ﴾
[الزُّخرُف: 56]

And We made of them, with this vindictive punishment and fateful event, a deterrent which has served as a warning to those who followed

﴿فجعلناهم سلفا ومثلا للآخرين﴾ [الزُّخرُف: 56]
