﴿قَالَ فَإِنَّهَا مُحَرَّمَةٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡۛ أَرۡبَعِينَ سَنَةٗۛ يَتِيهُونَ فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ فَلَا تَأۡسَ عَلَى ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 26]
﴿قال فإنها محرمة عليهم أربعين سنة يتيهون في الأرض فلا تأس على﴾ [المَائدة: 26]
Dr Kamal Omar (Allah) said: “Then surely it (stands) forbidden to them for forty years; they will wander in the earth. So grieve not over the rebellious nation.” |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar He said: Truly, it is that which is forbidden to them ^for forty years.^ They will wander about the earth. So grieve not for the folk, the ones who disobey |
Dr Munir Munshey (Their Lord said), "This land shall now be forbidden to them for the next forty years. (During that period) they will wander about in the land _ (homeless and lost in the desert). So do not grieve over the evil (rebellious) people |
Edward Henry Palmer He said, 'Then, verily, it is forbidden them; for forty years shall they wander about in the earth; so vex not thyself for the sinful people |
Farook Malik Allah responded, "Very well, they are forbidden this land for forty years, during this time they will wander homeless on the earth, so do not grieve for these disobedient people |
George Sale God answered, verily the land shall be forbidden them forty years; during which time they shall wander like men astonished in the earth; therefore be not thou solicitous for the ungodly people |
Maududi Allah said: ´This land will now be forbidden to them for forty years and they will remain wandering about on the earth. Do not grieve over the condition of these transgressing people |
