﴿قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لَآ أَمۡلِكُ إِلَّا نَفۡسِي وَأَخِيۖ فَٱفۡرُقۡ بَيۡنَنَا وَبَيۡنَ ٱلۡقَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَٰسِقِينَ ﴾
[المَائدة: 25]
﴿قال رب إني لا أملك إلا نفسي وأخي فافرق بيننا وبين القوم﴾ [المَائدة: 25]
| Dr Kamal Omar (Musa) said: “O my Nourisher-Sustainer! Surely, I do not possess control except over myself and my brother, so make a separation amongst us, and amongst the nation of Al-Fasiqun” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar He said: My Lord! I control no one but myself and my brother so separate Thou between us and between the folk, the ones who disobey |
| Dr Munir Munshey (Musa) said, "Oh my Lord, of course I only have influence over myself and my brother. So set us apart from the evil (disobedient) people |
| Edward Henry Palmer Said he, 'My Lord, verily, I can control only myself and my brother; therefore part us from these sinful people |
| Farook Malik Hearing this Moses prayed, "O my Lord! I have no control over anyone except myself and my brother. Please, set us apart from these disobedient people |
| George Sale Moses said, O Lord, surely I am not master of any except my self, and my brother; therefore make a distinction between us and the ungodly people |
| Maududi Thereupon Moses said: ´My Lord! I have control over none but my own self and my brother; so distinguish between us and the transgressing people.´ |
