﴿لَّقَدۡ كَفَرَ ٱلَّذِينَ قَالُوٓاْ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ ثَالِثُ ثَلَٰثَةٖۘ وَمَا مِنۡ إِلَٰهٍ إِلَّآ إِلَٰهٞ وَٰحِدٞۚ وَإِن لَّمۡ يَنتَهُواْ عَمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَيَمَسَّنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُواْ مِنۡهُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ ﴾
[المَائدة: 73]
﴿لقد كفر الذين قالوا إن الله ثالث ثلاثة وما من إله إلا﴾ [المَائدة: 73]
| Dr Kamal Omar Surely, have disbelieved those who said: “Verily, Allah is the third of the three (in the concept of Trinity).” And there is no (one) out of (the status of) an ilah except One Ilah. And if they cease not from what they utter, verily, will befall those who have disbelieved out of them — a punishment most painful |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Certainly, ungrateful were those who said: Truly, God is the third of three.• There is no god but One God. And if they refrain not themselves from what they say, there will afflict those who were ungrateful among them a painful punishment |
| Dr Munir Munshey Those who say, "Allah is the third of three (the Trinity)" have most certainly committed a blasphemy. There is no god except the One true God _ Allah! A painful punishment will surely torment those disbelievers who do not quit making such (blasphemous) statements |
