﴿يَتَنَٰزَعُونَ فِيهَا كَأۡسٗا لَّا لَغۡوٞ فِيهَا وَلَا تَأۡثِيمٞ ﴾
[الطُّور: 23]
﴿يتنازعون فيها كأسا لا لغو فيها ولا تأثيم﴾ [الطُّور: 23]
| Dr Kamal Omar Therein they shall toast the cup (showing their attachment to one another); there shall be no Laghw [dirty, bad or intoxicating (-effect thereof)] therein; and nor Tasim (a sinful act) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar They will contend with one another for a cup around which there is no idle talk nor accusation of sinfulness |
| Dr Munir Munshey Avidly, they shall take from each other cups of (exotic) wine (served) in paradise. It shall not cause a foolish flustered prattle, nor will it carry an offense |
| Edward Henry Palmer They shall pass to and fro therein a cup in which is neither folly nor sin |
| Farook Malik They will pass from hand to hand a cup of wine which shall cause no idle talk, nor sinful urge |
