﴿يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُواْ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُواْۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنٖ ﴾
[الرَّحمٰن: 33]
﴿يامعشر الجن والإنس إن استطعتم أن تنفذوا من أقطار السموات والأرض فانفذوا﴾ [الرَّحمٰن: 33]
| Dr Kamal Omar O assembly of the jinns and mankind! If you had the ability that you go beyond the confines of the heavens and the earth, then do go beyond. You shall not go beyond except (when properly equipped) with power |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar O you both, assembly of jinn and humankind! If you were able to pass through the areas of the heavens and the earth, then, pass through them! But you will not pass through, but with an authority |
| Dr Munir Munshey Oh you, the species of jinn and humans, if (you think) you possess the means to break free from the confines of the heavens and the earth, then do so. But, you shall not, without (His) sanction |
| Edward Henry Palmer O assembly of ginns and mankind! if ye are able to pass through the confines of heaven and earth then pass through them!- ye cannot pass through save by authority |
| Farook Malik O you, the assembly of jinns and men! If you have the power to get away from the boundaries of the heavens and the earth (to escape from His punishment), then get away! You cannot get away except with Our Own authority |
| George Sale O ye collective body of genii and men, if ye be able to pass out of the confines of heaven and earth, pass forth: Ye shall not pass forth but by absolute power |
| Maududi O company of jinn and men, if you have the power to go beyond the bounds of the heavens and the earth, go beyond them! Yet you will be unable to go beyond them for that requires infinite power |
