﴿إِنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ قَبۡلَ ذَٰلِكَ مُتۡرَفِينَ ﴾
[الوَاقِعة: 45]
﴿إنهم كانوا قبل ذلك مترفين﴾ [الوَاقِعة: 45]
| Dr Kamal Omar Verily, they used to be before (this stage) — those who indulge in luxury |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Truly, they had been before that ones who are given ease |
| Dr Munir Munshey Prior to this, they had the life of leisure and luxury |
| Edward Henry Palmer Verily, they were affluent ere this |
| Farook Malik For they lived in comfort before meeting this fate |
| George Sale For they enjoyed the pleasures of life before this, while on earth |
| Maududi Surely they had lived before in luxury |
