﴿لَأَنتُمۡ أَشَدُّ رَهۡبَةٗ فِي صُدُورِهِم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِۚ ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمۡ قَوۡمٞ لَّا يَفۡقَهُونَ ﴾
[الحَشر: 13]
﴿لأنتم أشد رهبة في صدورهم من الله ذلك بأنهم قوم لا يفقهون﴾ [الحَشر: 13]
| Dr Kamal Omar Verily, you (Believers) are more terror-creating in their chests in comparison to Allah. This is because they are a nation who comprehend not (the Majesty and Power of Allah) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Truly, you are a more severe fright in their breasts than God. That is because they are a folk who understand not |
| Dr Munir Munshey Indeed, in their hearts they fear you much more than they fear Allah. This is so because they are a nation that does not comprehend |
| Edward Henry Palmer Ye indeed are a keener source of fear in their hearts than God; that is because they are a people who do not understand |
| Farook Malik In their hearts there is greater dread of you than of Allah, because they are a people devoid of understanding |
| George Sale Verily ye are stronger than they, by reason of the terror cast into their breasts from God. This, because they are not people of prudence |
| Maududi Surely they have greater dread for you in their hearts than for Allah. That is because they are a people who are devoid of understanding |
