Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 131 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 8
﴿ذَٰلِكَ أَن لَّمۡ يَكُن رَّبُّكَ مُهۡلِكَ ٱلۡقُرَىٰ بِظُلۡمٖ وَأَهۡلُهَا غَٰفِلُونَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 131]
﴿ذلك أن لم يكن ربك مهلك القرى بظلم وأهلها غافلون﴾ [الأنعَام: 131]
| Dr Kamal Omar This is because your Nourisher-Sustainer does not become one who destroys the towns out of injustice while their residents are ignorant (of the Message) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar That is because thy Lord would never be One Who Causes to Perish towns unjustly while their people are ones who are heedless |
| Dr Munir Munshey (The messengers were sent) because your Lord would never destroy any town unjustly while its residents were unaware and uninformed |

| Farook Malik Your Lord would not destroy towns without just cause while their residents were ignorant of the Reality |
| George Sale This hath been the method of God's dealing with his creatures, because thy Lord would not destroy the cities in their iniquity, while their inhabitants were careless |
| Maududi (They will be made to bear this witness to show that) it is not the way of your Lord to destroy cities unjustly while their people were unaware of the Truth |
