﴿وَرَبُّكَ ٱلۡغَنِيُّ ذُو ٱلرَّحۡمَةِۚ إِن يَشَأۡ يُذۡهِبۡكُمۡ وَيَسۡتَخۡلِفۡ مِنۢ بَعۡدِكُم مَّا يَشَآءُ كَمَآ أَنشَأَكُم مِّن ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوۡمٍ ءَاخَرِينَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 133]
﴿وربك الغني ذو الرحمة إن يشأ يذهبكم ويستخلف من بعدكم ما يشاء﴾ [الأنعَام: 133]
| Dr Kamal Omar And your Nourisher-Sustainer is Free of all wants, full of Mercy. If He will think (it) proper, He will remove you people and will establish as successors after you as He thinks proper — in the same way as He raised you people from the progeny of a nation composed of alien people |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Thy Lord is The Sufficient, Possessor of Mercy. If He wills, He will cause you to be put away and will make a successor after you of whomever He wills, just as He caused you to grow from offspring of other folk |
| Dr Munir Munshey Your Lord is Free of all wants; (He is) the Lord of Mercy. If He wants, He can wipe you out, and have another people _ whomever He wants _ succeed you, just as He raised you from the genes of a different nation |
| Edward Henry Palmer Thy Lord is rich, merciful; if He pleases He will take you off, and will cause what He pleases to succeed you; even as He raised you up from the seed of other people |
| Farook Malik Your Lord is Self-Sufficient, Lord of Mercy. If He wants, He can destroy you all and replace you with others as He pleases, just as He raised you from the offspring of other people |
| George Sale and thy Lord is self-sufficient and indued with mercy. If He pleaseth He can destroy you, and cause such as He pleaseth to succeed you, in like manner as He produced you from the posterity of other people |
| Maududi Your Lord is Self-Sufficient, full of compassion. If He wills, He can put you away and cause whomever He wills to succeed you just as He has produced you from the seed of another people |
