Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Al-An‘am ayat 89 - الأنعَام - Page - Juz 7
﴿أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيۡنَٰهُمُ ٱلۡكِتَٰبَ وَٱلۡحُكۡمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَۚ فَإِن يَكۡفُرۡ بِهَا هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدۡ وَكَّلۡنَا بِهَا قَوۡمٗا لَّيۡسُواْ بِهَا بِكَٰفِرِينَ ﴾
[الأنعَام: 89]
﴿أولئك الذين آتيناهم الكتاب والحكم والنبوة فإن يكفر بها هؤلاء فقد وكلنا﴾ [الأنعَام: 89]
| Dr Kamal Omar They are those whom We gave Al-Kitab, and Al-Hukm and An-Nubuwwah. So if these folk (i.e., the members of your nation) disbelieve in this (permanent Message and eternal Al-Kitab), then, indeed We have (in Our scheme) entrusted it to a nation who are not, to it, in line with the disbelievers |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Those are those to whom We gave the Book and critical judgment and prophethood. So if these are ungrateful for them, then, surely, We charged a folk with them who is not of the ones who are ungrateful for them |
| Dr Munir Munshey Such are the ones, to whom We gave the scriptures, the wisdom and the prophethood. Since they (their descendants _ the Jews and the Christians) refuse to believe (their own books), We have entrusted another nation with that (same message) _ those who do not disbelieve |

| Maududi Those are the ones to whom We gave the Book, and judgement and prophethood. And if they refuse to believe in it now, We will bestow this favour on a people who do believe in it |
