﴿وَمَرۡيَمَ ٱبۡنَتَ عِمۡرَٰنَ ٱلَّتِيٓ أَحۡصَنَتۡ فَرۡجَهَا فَنَفَخۡنَا فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِنَا وَصَدَّقَتۡ بِكَلِمَٰتِ رَبِّهَا وَكُتُبِهِۦ وَكَانَتۡ مِنَ ٱلۡقَٰنِتِينَ ﴾
[التَّحرِيم: 12]
﴿ومريم ابنة عمران التي أحصنت فرجها فنفخنا فيه من روحنا وصدقت بكلمات﴾ [التَّحرِيم: 12]
| Dr Kamal Omar And Maryam, the daughter of Imran who guarded her private sexual part, so We introduced therein out of Our Spirit. And she testified to the truth of the statements of her Nourisher-Sustainer and His Writings. And she happened to be out of those who are content |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And Mary, the daughter of Imran, who guarded her private parts, so We breathed into it of Our Spirit and she established as true the Words of her Lord and His Books and she had been among the ones who are morally obligated |
| Dr Munir Munshey (And the example of) Mary, a daughter Imran, who had (rigidly) guarded her chastity. We breathed Our spirit into her. Thus, she gave credence (and bore witness) to the words of her Lord and His scriptures. She was (truly) among the obedient ones |
