﴿أَمۡ لَكُمۡ أَيۡمَٰنٌ عَلَيۡنَا بَٰلِغَةٌ إِلَىٰ يَوۡمِ ٱلۡقِيَٰمَةِ إِنَّ لَكُمۡ لَمَا تَحۡكُمُونَ ﴾
[القَلَم: 39]
﴿أم لكم أيمان علينا بالغة إلى يوم القيامة إن لكم لما تحكمون﴾ [القَلَم: 39]
| Dr Kamal Omar Are unto you written therein commitments on My behalf extending to the Day of Resurrection — (that) certainly (are) in your interest, indeed, whatsoever you judge |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Or are there oaths from Us, ones that reach through to the Day of Resurrection providing that you will have what you yourselves give as judgment |
| Dr Munir Munshey Or, do you hold a binding contract over Us till the day of Resurrection, (guaranteeing) that whatever you order shall be yours |
| Edward Henry Palmer Or have ye oaths binding on us until the judgment day that ye are surely to have what ye may judge |
| Farook Malik Or do you have a sworn covenant - a covenant binding on Us till the Day of Resurrection - that you shall have whatever you demand |
| George Sale Or have ye received oaths which shall be binding upon us to the day of resurrection, that ye shall enjoy what ye imagine |
| Maududi Or have We sworn a covenant with you which We are bound to keep till the Day of Resurrection, (a covenant requiring that whatever you ordain for yourselves shall be yours) |
