Dr Kamal Omar O Bani Adam! Let not Satan put you to test as he took out your parents from the orchard. He removes from both of them the clothing of both of them so that he may expose over both of them the bodies of the twain. Definitely he (i.e., the Satan) keeps a watch over you — he as well as his tribe, — from where you do not see them. Verily, We have appointed (these) Satans as ‘auliya’ for those who do not Believe (in Al-Kitab) |
Dr Laleh Bakhtiar O Children of Adam! Let not Satan tempt you as he drove your parents out of the Garden, tearing off their garments from both of them to cause them to see their intimate parts. Truly, he and his type sees you whereas you see them not. Truly, We made he and the satans protectors of those who believe not |
Dr Munir Munshey Oh children of Adam! Do not let Shaitan entice you as he did your (primordial) parents when he got them expelled from paradise. He stripped them of their clothes, in order to expose their nakedness to them. Of course, Shaitan and his tribe watch you from where you cannot see them. Of course, We let the Shaitans be the friends of those who do not believe |
Edward Henry Palmer O sons of Adam! let not Satan infatuate you as he drove your parents out of Paradise, stripping from them their garments, and showing them their shame; verily, he sees you - he and his tribe, from whence ye cannot see them. Verily, we have made the devils patrons of those who do not believe |
Farook Malik O children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you in the same manner as he seduced your parents out of paradise through stripping them of their clothing in order to expose their nakedness. He and his tribe watch you from where you cannot see them. We have permitted the Satans to be the guardians over the unbelievers |
George Sale O children of Adam, let not Satan seduce you, as he expelled your parents out of paradise, by stripping them of their cloathing, that he might shew them their nakedness: Verily he seeth you, both he and his companions, whereas ye see not them. We have appointed the devils to be the patrons of those who believe not |
Maududi Children of Adam! Let not Satan deceive you in the manner he deceived your parents out of Paradise, pulling off from them their clothing to reveal to them their shame. He and his host surely see you from whence you do not see them. We have made satans the guardians of those who do not believe |
