﴿أَوَعَجِبۡتُمۡ أَن جَآءَكُمۡ ذِكۡرٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡ عَلَىٰ رَجُلٖ مِّنكُمۡ لِيُنذِرَكُمۡ وَلِتَتَّقُواْ وَلَعَلَّكُمۡ تُرۡحَمُونَ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 63]
﴿أو عجبتم أن جاءكم ذكر من ربكم على رجل منكم لينذركم ولتتقوا﴾ [الأعرَاف: 63]
| Dr Kamal Omar And did you wonder that there has come to you Zikr from your Nourisher-Sustainer through an adult male amongst you, so that He may warn you, and so that you may pay obedience and per chance you may be showered Mercy?” |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar Or marveled you that there drew near you a remembrance from your Lord through a man among you that he warn you and that you be Godfearing so that perhaps you will find mercy |
| Dr Munir Munshey Are you surprised that a reminder from your Lord came through a man among you? So he may warn you, and so you may fear Allah and receive His mercy |

| Maududi Do you wonder that admonition should come to you from your Lord through a man from amongst yourselves that he may warn you, that you may avoid evil and that mercy may be shown to you?´ |
