Quran with Tafsir_English translation - Surah Al-A‘raf ayat 73 - الأعرَاف - Page - Juz 8
﴿وَإِلَىٰ ثَمُودَ أَخَاهُمۡ صَٰلِحٗاۚ قَالَ يَٰقَوۡمِ ٱعۡبُدُواْ ٱللَّهَ مَا لَكُم مِّنۡ إِلَٰهٍ غَيۡرُهُۥۖ قَدۡ جَآءَتۡكُم بَيِّنَةٞ مِّن رَّبِّكُمۡۖ هَٰذِهِۦ نَاقَةُ ٱللَّهِ لَكُمۡ ءَايَةٗۖ فَذَرُوهَا تَأۡكُلۡ فِيٓ أَرۡضِ ٱللَّهِۖ وَلَا تَمَسُّوهَا بِسُوٓءٖ فَيَأۡخُذَكُمۡ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٞ ﴾
[الأعرَاف: 73]
﴿وإلى ثمود أخاهم صالحا قال ياقوم اعبدوا الله ما لكم من إله﴾ [الأعرَاف: 73]
| Dr Kamal Omar And to Samud (this is the title of an Arab nation) their brother Salih (was sent as the Messenger). He said: “O my nation! Pay obedience to Allah. (There is) not for you any god other than He. Surely Bayyinah has come to you from your Nourisher-Sustainer. This she-camel from Allah is a Sign unto you. So you leave her (at liberty). She will graze in Allah’s earth, and touch her not with (any) harm otherwise a painful torment shall seize you (all) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And to Thamud God sent their brother Salih. He said: O my folk! Worship God! You have no god but He. Surely, drew near you clear portents from your Lord. This is the she-camel of God as a sign so allow her to eat on the earth of God and afflict her not with evil so a painful punishment not take you |
| Dr Munir Munshey And (We sent) their brother Saleh, to (the people of) Samood. He said, "Oh my people, worship Allah! You have no god besides Him. A clear proof has surely come to you from your Lord. This camel of Allah is a sign for you. So, leave it alone and let it graze freely in Allah´s land. Do not touch it with evil (intentions), else a painful punishment will land on you |
| Edward Henry Palmer Unto Thamud (we sent) their brother Zalih, who said, 'O my people! worship God; ye have no god but Him: there has come to you a manifest sign from your Lord. This she-camel of God's is a sign for you; leave her then to eat in the land of God, and touch her not with evil, or there will overtake you grievous woe |
| Farook Malik For the people of Thamud We selected their brother Saleh, who said: "O my people! Worship Allah; you have no other god but Him. Now a clear proof has come to you from your Lord; here is Allah's she-camel as a sign for you, therefore leave her alone to pasture on Allah’s land and do not touch her with bad intentions, lest you incur a painful punishment |
| George Sale And unto the tribe of Thamud We sent their brother Saleh. He said O my people, worship God: Ye have no God besides Him. Now hath a manifest proof come unto you from your Lord. This she-camel of God is a sign unto you: Therefore dismiss her freely, that she may feed in God's earth; and do her no hurt, lest a painful punishment seize you |
| Maududi And to Thamud We sent forth their brother. Salih. He said to them: ´0 my people! Serve Allah, you have no other god than Him. Truly there has come to you a clear proof from your Lord. This she-camel from Allah is a Divine portent for you. So leave her alone to pasture on Allah´s earth, and touch her with no evil lest a painful chastisement should seize you |
