﴿لِّنَفۡتِنَهُمۡ فِيهِۚ وَمَن يُعۡرِضۡ عَن ذِكۡرِ رَبِّهِۦ يَسۡلُكۡهُ عَذَابٗا صَعَدٗا ﴾
[الجِن: 17]
﴿لنفتنهم فيه ومن يعرض عن ذكر ربه يسلكه عذابا صعدا﴾ [الجِن: 17]
| Dr Kamal Omar so that We may test and assess them therein. And whoever disengages (himself) from Zikr of his Nourisher-Sustainer, He will make him slide in to a rising punishment |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar so that We try them in it. But whoever turns aside from the Remembrance of his Lord, He will dispatch him to a rigorous punishment |
| Dr Munir Munshey To test them with! The Lord will immerse into an ever worsening torment, all those who turn away from the remembrance of their Lord |

| Maududi so that We might try them through this bounty. Whoso turns away from the remembrance of his Lord, He will cause him to suffer a grievous chastisement |
