﴿فَأَخَذَهُ ٱللَّهُ نَكَالَ ٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَٱلۡأُولَىٰٓ ﴾
[النَّازعَات: 25]
﴿فأخذه الله نكال الآخرة والأولى﴾ [النَّازعَات: 25]
| Dr Kamal Omar So Allah seized him in a severe punishment of the Hereafter and of the ‘earlier one’ (i.e., of the present world) |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar So God took him with an exemplary punishment for the last and for the first |
| Dr Munir Munshey So, (as a punishment), Allah turned him into an example in the afterlife, as well as in this life |
| Edward Henry Palmer but God seized him with the punishment of the future life and of the former |
| Farook Malik Consequently, Allah seized him for punishment, both in the Hereafter and in this life |
| George Sale Wherefore God chastised him with the punishment of the life to come, and also of this present life |
