﴿وَأَمَّا مَنۢ بَخِلَ وَٱسۡتَغۡنَىٰ ﴾
[اللَّيل: 8]
﴿وأما من بخل واستغنى﴾ [اللَّيل: 8]
| Dr Kamal Omar And as for that who behaved niggardly and remained unconcerned |
| Dr Laleh Bakhtiar And as for him who was a miser and was self-sufficient |
| Dr Munir Munshey While anyone who acts niggardly, (lives nonchalantly), and considers himself self-sufficient |
| Edward Henry Palmer But as for him who is niggardly, And longs for wealth |
| Farook Malik As for him who is a stingy and considers himself independent of Allah |
| George Sale But whoso shall be covetous, and shall be wholly taken up with this world |
| Maududi As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah) |
