﴿قَالُواْ نَفۡقِدُ صُوَاعَ ٱلۡمَلِكِ وَلِمَن جَآءَ بِهِۦ حِمۡلُ بَعِيرٖ وَأَنَا۠ بِهِۦ زَعِيمٞ ﴾
[يُوسُف: 72]
﴿قالوا نفقد صواع الملك ولمن جاء به حمل بعير وأنا به زعيم﴾ [يُوسُف: 72]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir They said: We miss the king's drinking cup, and he who shall bring it shall have a camel-load and I am responsible for it |
| Mohammad Shafi Joseph's men replied, "We find the king's cup missing, and he, who comes up with it, shall get a camel-load of extra grains." And Joseph added, "I am guarantor of this |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall They said: We have lost the king's cup, and he who bringeth it shall have a camel-load, and I (said Joseph) am answerable for it |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani They said, “We are missing the measuring-bowl of the king, and whoever brings it back shall deserve a camel-load, and I stand surety for it.” |
