﴿يَمۡحُواْ ٱللَّهُ مَا يَشَآءُ وَيُثۡبِتُۖ وَعِندَهُۥٓ أُمُّ ٱلۡكِتَٰبِ ﴾
[الرَّعد: 39]
﴿يمحوا الله ما يشاء ويثبت وعنده أم الكتاب﴾ [الرَّعد: 39]
| Mohammad Habib Shakir Allah makes to pass away and establishes what He pleases, and with Him is the basis of the Book |
| Mohammad Shafi Allah obliterates or preserves what He wills. And with Him is the Master Copy of the (or the Original) Book |
| Mohammed Marmaduke William Pickthall Allah effaceth what He will, and establisheth (what He will), and with Him is the source of ordinance |
| Mufti Taqi Usmani Allah wipes off what He wills and affirms (what He wills), and with Him is the Mother Book |
| Muhammad Asad God annuls or confirms whatever He wills [of His earlier messages] -for with Him is the source of all revelation |
| Muhammad Mahmoud Ghali Allah erases whatever He decides and He makes firm (whatever He decides), and in His Providence is the Essence (Literally: Mother) of the Book |
| Muhammad Sarwar For every event God has ordained His decree. God establishes or effaces whatever He wants and with Him is the original of the Book |
